A good morning wake me up filled with protein, fibre and antioxidants!

This has been my go to smoothie lately. I always have the ingredients on hand, the kids love it and it fills me right up! I personally love using Greek yogurt in smoothies for the reason that it makes the consistency much smoother and I like to get in the extra protein. The tanginess of the plain yogurt is really pleasant for my taste buds, and although the kids used to only like vanilla yogurt in their smoothies, balancing it out with a bit of orange juice does the trick for them!

The chia seeds add a boost of fibre and really blend in well so you can’t taste them, but they do add a nice speckled look to it which I love. If you are looking for a thicker consistency, you can try soaking the chia seeds in a bit of water for 10 min until they swell. Then add to the remaining ingredients and blend!

Try this smoothie out as part of a complete breakfast or a great energy boosting snack!


– 1 cup Non Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
– 2 2/3 cups Triple Berry Frozen Fruit (I used Kirkland brand – mix of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
– 1 1/3 Medium Banana
– 2 2/3 tbsp Chia Seeds
– 2/3 cup Orange Juice
– 2/3 cup Cold water
– Optional: 1 tsp Honey (if you like it sweeter)

Put all ingredients into a blender. Blend and Enjoy!
